ASSOCIATES IN ONCOLOGY & HEMATOLOGY – CURRENT RESEARCH STUDIES

Pancreatic Cancer

This study is for males and females age 18 years or older  diagnosed with Metastatic ductal adenocarcinoma of the pancreas less than 4 months prior to enrollment. Locally advanced ductal adenocarcinoma of the pancreas diagnosed less than 3 months prior to enrollment. Patients after non-curative surgery are eligible if at least 4 weeks after surgery. You will have an equal chance (like the flip of a coin) of receiving either an IV infusion of chemotherapy drug OR both chemotherapy drug  and study drug.          Learn more

Squamous Cell Lung Cancer

This study is for males and females age 18 years or older newly diagnosed with stage IV squamous non small cell lung cancer. Patients who have received prior therapy for an earlier stage lung cancer are eligible if at least 12 months have past from that treatment. Patients with previous radiation therapy are eligible as long as it has been greater than 4 weeks from consent to treatment.         Learn more

Gastric Cancer

This study is for males and females age 18 years or older with a confirmed gastric or gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma that is not a surgical candidate. Patients who have had previous chemotherapy are eligible as long as 4 months have past since last treatment. The patient must have adequate organ function in which labs will be taken to determine participation in the study.          Learn more

Multiple Myeloma

This study is for males and females age 18 years or older with symptomatic multiple myeloma. Patient must have had prior treatment with at least one, but no more than three regimens for multiple myeloma. Documented relapse or progressive disease on or after any regimen are eligible. Patient must have achieved a response to at least one prior regimen of therapy. Also, labs will be taken for adequate organ function to determine participation in the study.          Learn more

Prostate Cancer

This study is for males age 18 years or older with confirmed prostate adenocarcinoma with an estimated life expectancy of 6 months or more based on the investigator’s judgement. Patients should have a baseline PSA greater than 5 ng/mL. Patient must also have had prior surgical castration or use of an agent for medical castration. Labs will be taken for adequate organ function and bone marrow function to determine participation in the study.          Learn more

Liver Cancer

This study is for males and females age 18 years or older with confirmed liver cancer with a mass measuring at least 2cm who have failed treatment with Sorafenib. Labs will be taken for adequate organ function to determine participation in the study.          Learn more

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

This study is for males and females age 18 years or older with complete surgical removal of stages IB, II, or IIIA non small cell lung cancer. After the patient has had surgery, the patients tumor is sent for testing to see if it expresses a MAGE-A3 gene. If so, the patient may be eligible for the study. The patient must be free of metastasis as confirmed by a CT scan. Labs will also be taken to determine adequate organ function for study participation.          Learn more

T-Cell Lymphoma

This study is for males and females age 18 years or older with confirmed diagnosis of Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma. Patients must have relapsed after at least one prior anticancer regimen. Labs will  be taken to determine adequate organ function for study participation.          Learn more
