Dr. Jitendra Gandhi
Dr. Jitendra Gandhi and his family arrived in Chattanooga in late 1982 following the completion of his Fellowship from the University of Massachusetts. He opened his Oncology/Hematology practice on the Parkridge Medical Center campus and has been located on the same campus for the past twenty-eight years. After a few years in practice, he incorporated the name Associates in Oncology and Hematology. Dr. Gandhi had satellite offices in surrounding areas for a number of years but scaled back to focus on patient care in the Chattanooga area. He currently has two offices. The main office is located on McCallie Avenue and a second office is located in Hixson. His wife, Dr. Vaishali Doshi joined him in September 2008. His son, Neel, will join the practice upon completion of his Fellowship in Oncology/Hematology.
Gandhi
Jitendra G. Gandhi, MD. – A highly dedicated and compassionate physician, Dr. Gandhi is Board Certified by the American Board of Medical Oncology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Fellowship-trained in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Dr. Gandhi earned his medical degree from the Seth G.S. Medical College in Bombay, India. His residency was completed at Worcester City Hospital, Worcester, MA where he was the chief resident from 1980-81.
Dr. Gandhi has researched and published articles on adult cancers in conjunction with clinical trials of the Minnie Pearl Cancer Research Network as well as participated in numerous outside clinical trials. He has access to the latest research, technology and treatment options for eligible patients. He strives to educate patients and their families regarding cancer awareness and prevention. Dr. Gandhi doesn’t just treat the disease, he treats the person. He understands that every patient has unique needs and he meets those needs with constant doses of personal attention.
